While I was browsing through razer official site for my future mouse when my dad made a remark "Idiot la my mouse, always jammed". They both just clicked! Haha so i decided to get a mouse for dad on his day. Kuching did sell Razer mice but they were around RM20-30 more expensive than that of KL for example. I decided to go on lowyat to check for any offer. After a while i stumbled upon bruceleestore, a seller which sells gaming peripherals at a reasonable price. After a few pms, sms and a call, he introduced me to which I decided to get for my dad:
Razer Abyssus Mirror Edition

DPI refers to dots per inch. Standard mice nowadays come with 1000dpi. The more dpi you have for your mouse, the more sensitive it is when you move your cursor. 3500dpi is definitely not to shabby
Polling rate on the other hand is the rate (of how fast) a mouse cursor can be updated. The default USB polling rate is 125 Hz, which means the mouse cursor can only be updated every 8 milliseconds. But with this mouse it has 3 polling rate to choose from: 125, 500, and 1000 Hz.
Polling rate Response time
125 Hz = 8 ms
500 Hz = 2 ms
1000 Hz =1 ms
A driver is needed to enable the user to tweak other sensitivity (eg: double clicking speed, mouse axis), program its 3 hyperstone buttons and it even lets you decide which hand user are you (left or right). You can download it at the razer support center.
The mouse itself is pretty light, looks awesome, but when you feel the mouse for the first time, you can't help but 'ooohh' at its comfort. It is easily click able, no jamming issues here, its functionality and aesthetic components are amazing. Feels like I should pat myself on the back for purchasing a nice gadget.
Here are more pictures of it
A closer look
My dad doesn't play much games though, Mafia Wars on facebook is his thing now but I guess every gamer needs a decent mouse dont'cha think? He was all smiles when he got this from me. Haha giving is better than receiving so they say. I couldn't agree more.
This is my first ever review post so go easy on the comment ok? =D
